About us

We are a family of five and live in West Sussex with our three Goldies. Our house is pretty busy, with one of us off at uni and another working away during the week, we have many people coming and going which is always interesting!

I had wanted a dog ever since I could remember. During my childhood, Mum and Dad were out at work, so I spent time walking and playing with other peoples dogs. Then we moved to Indonesia. In Indonesia dogs were not given a second thought, it was horrible the way they lived. There were a few round our houses, but I never dared touch them for the Rabies that they could carry. The pet shops in Indonesia contained big dogs in tiny cages, which was very sad to see. I spent a long time in the pet shops, but it would have been difficult bringing the dog back to the UK at that time.

When we came back to the UK and settled for good in West Sussex, almost immediately we rang up a breeder regarding an ad for a Goldie pup. Molly came to live with us. We were lucky with Molls, because we did not know what we were looking for. Molly was born and raised in kennels, which for me accounts for some of her behaviour, i.e. fear of the hover. She was also late in coming to us, at nine weeks, we believe she was a showing/breeding reject for whatever reason. The breeder was very brave, as we just swooped in and picked Molls up. The breeder was very experienced and was coming to the end of breeding dogs, she must just have known we were right.

I took Molls to puppy classes, then dog training and continued this for 6 years! She entered many obedience competitions before deciding it wasn't for her. Molls also attended the YKC camp, and tried her paw at every dog activity there, doing everything in her own way! Mols has also travelled up and down the country and across to France on holidays! She's been in cars, trains pedalows, cable cars! You name it, Molly had done it! We love Molly dearly. When I found out that I could not show her I was really annoyed, as the vet nor anybody else explained to us when she was spayed that I would not be able to show her once she had had the op. In light of that we made a big decision. To get Safs! Safs excels at anything she does because she just wants to please you. She is amazing at obedience and is of show quality, getting placings as a pup.

Although Safs decided that showing was not for her, so we concentrated on obedience. Molly on the other hand made a U-turn and decided she liked showing, so after 7 years out of the show ring at Companion shows she came back! 2007 was a brilliant year, both of the girls found their callings in life and pursued them in style. Saff doing obedience and Molls in the show ring. When out and about we got so many good comments about our dogs and SOOO many enquiries about pups, which got us thinking. Another big decision came along and decided to have our first litter from Saf! That's where that story ends and another chapter in our lives begins....FERGUS!

In 2008 I was asked to instruct at our local dog training club, for which I will start training for in September of the same year.

Through the years I have gained in depth knowledge on the behaviour and attitudes of dogs, I will try to convey any tips or advice i have picked up through the website. This website will also show the achievements and lifestyles of three happy, balanced dogs!
