Flyball
Flyball is another sport pre-occupied by collies. It involves sending your dog at great-neck speeds over a series of small jumps in a straight line in front of you, in the hope that their feet crash onto a springer device which launches a tennis ball into their mouth. They have to catch it and hare back over the jumps to give you the ball. Not a sport that I've tried with Saffie yet her love of ball may help.
I have only tried this once with Molly in her younger days. She took the opportunity that when let off the lead she would bolt back across the field. She is also not a fan of balls so this sport REALLY is not for her. There is a training group close to my home that one day I hope to have a lesson or two with Saffie.
As with Agility, check your local Newspapers for advertisements. If that fails enquire at your local Dog Training Club or indeed use the internet.
