Molly

This is Molly working her obedience round at a companion show in 2006, she came third.

Pedigree

We got Molly in 1999 as a pet. Since then she has tried her paw at everything. Through obedience we have worked at Crufts and Discover Dogs. In Companion shows she has gained Best in Shows and more recently Best Veteran and Best Gundog awards. She has also tried Flyball, Heelwork to music and Agility! As she was spayed she has not attended breed shows.

At home Molly is everything a Goldie should be; great with people and especially children, calm and relaxed yet playful and she has an insatiable and never satisfying appetite for ANY type of food! Molly's senior years are not slowing her down too much as she never moved very fast to begin with. As a youngster Molly really tested our love for the breed as she so was so naughty! She constantly ran off and was often gone for fairly long periods of time, eating things!

Molly has learnt every trick I can possibly think of teaching a dog and she knows them all on voice and hand signals- in preparation for that day when somebody wants her in their film (sadly its not happened yet)! Mol is very clever and easily outwits Saffie at home. If Molly wants Saffie's food she will often squeak a toy to which Saffie will instantly leave her food and go grab the toy, to Mollys delight, who will then swoop in and eat the rest of Saffie's food. Mol is more of a people dog than a dog dog and was very offended when we brought Saffie into her life- ignoring her completely for a few weeks!

Mol only shares her love to a select group of people (usually based on how many treats you have given her in the last week). To show love Mol gives hugs, where she rubs her head into your knees. But if she doesn't like you enough or your in public (as she gets embarrassed) she will only give you her paw!! She also enjoys to be touched on certain parts of her back, which she only lets her favourite people know about!
