Pedigree
Saffie joined the clan in 2005 when we wanted a companion for Molly and a dog to show. When we came across a litter sired by Canina Royal Request who is gorgeous, we had to have one. Saffie was rarely (when on good behaviour) out of the rosettes at breed shows. We attended a few shows in her younger days but since I took her to my dog training club, Denne Park (a Photo of baby Saffie is on their main page!) where Molly was trained, to do her Bronze Good Citizen, everybody expressed how much potential she showed for obedience and that's where it all started.
In 2007 decided to concentrate on obedience and she surprised us by coming second at her first obedience open show. A few weeks later she took 1st in a high class at a companion show and since then she has been regularly placed.
Saffie was destined to work in some way, shape or form. She enjoys being loyal and doing what you say, she gets bored at home doing nothing! Saffie is fiercely obedient and out on walks she is always on the go she goes crazy if you get the lead out and "plays tug-o-war", shaking the lead to bits! This makes her good for obedience as she is easily motivated by play.
Saf is a dog who enjoys routines and relishes in reminding you that at this point in the walk we should play together! A quiet and unassuming girl at home is Saf- until you play with her. Saf hates being naughty and wouldn't dare do anything wrong, she takes pleasure in behaving and pleasing her owners.

Unplaced. CLOVERICE SERENITY (Saffie) – Goldie. A handler who took time to play and motivate her dog before the round, and in between each exercise, and also took her time to get the dog set up correctly. Sadly, messed up a few ATs, and the sits were untidy (although improving), but the potential is definitely there.

6th 144 Cloverice Serenity at Serenedrift. Goldie. This was a well motivated Goldie that I really liked, faults caused by enthusiasm but I’m sure will go a lot further. Well done

6th 273 Cloverice Serenity at Serendrift Goldie b. with Rebecca also loosing 14½ and the run off by a small margin. I think this dogs Kennel Name is a bit of a misnomer as she is a really exuberant Goldie who literally throws herself wholeheartedly into all the exercises. I do hope she settles as she could be brilliant. Most of the faults in all the exercises were caused by over enthusiasm bits and pieces of crabbing, drifting and a wat on both sets of heelwork and handler didn’t walk straight in HF. Anticipation in both recall and retrieve. Jump present in recall with readjustment to sit in front and cf and also anticipated to finish in retrieve.

3rd: Miss Rebecca and CLOVERICE SERENITY AT SERENEDRIFT (G RET). HOL 0.5 HF 0.75 REC 0.5 RET 0.5. Lost 2.25. I loved this Goldie's enthusiasm to work. The heelwork was excellent and enjoyable to watch. The present of the recall was the most exuberant of the day. Loads of potential. Good luck with her.'

6th CLOVERICE SERENITY AT SERENEDRIFT GR. Nothing serene about this lovely goldie, so very keen, skidded and fell over in the retrieve, lightening pace in the recall, slightly crashing into present, but you did a clear retrieve in the r/o, my notes say, fantastic attention, good handler with lovely play between exercises, keep that attitude that you have as you will need it when you go through the classes. Very well done.

Unplaced. A second bitch whose work was a pleasure to watch is 324 Cloverice Serenity at Serenedrift. Goldie. Another stay breaker whose handler brought her into the ring and created one of the best training rounds I have seen in a long time. Real training combined with genuinely rewarding play. Many congratulations. I will watch your inevitable progress with interest.
